Livermore Falls/Jay ? Construction crews will be starting work again this season on Route 4 in Livermore Falls beginning on Monday, April 2nd at 7:00am. Motorists should expect delays of 5 to 15 minutes as they travel the one mile distance between the intersection of Bridge Street and Main Street to Pineau Street. Variable message signs will alert travelers as they approach the area, with flaggers assisting in alternating lane shifts.
Full reconstruction of this stretch of Route 4, including new water and sewer lines, new utility poles and several retaining walls, will continue through August as crews bring the road up to new highway standards.
The $6.3 million contract was awarded to Pratt & Sons from Mechanic Falls.
