PORTLAND ? Two children were ejected from the car they were riding in during a crash on Interstate 295 in Portland, police said.
The children were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Their mother was also transported to the hospital with injuries that did not appear to be serious.
The crash occurred in the southbound lanes in the area of Tukey's Bridge, and motorists are being encouraged to seek alternate routes around the area.
The crash was reported at about 1 p.m. There was no further information about the extent of injuries or the circumstances that caused the crash.
